Sightseeing

1) A walk in our Chora,
one of the most beautiful countries of the Cyclades, a walk to the highest point of the Castle with a breathtaking view of the harbor of the island and the surrounding islands. Descending you stop at the Town Hall Square for rakomelo in the cafes and descending to the lower square you stop for vanilla submarine, traditional Serifos pastaki, rakomelo and many other surprises, in the 2 traditional cafes that operate all year round OI MILLOI & O VASILEOS.

2) Walk to MEGA LIVADI where the blown up bridge is located:
in August 1916 the first bloody uprising in Modern Greece took place there and resulted in the introduction of the 8-hour working day for the miners. Explore the caves, see the rusty wagons, touch the mineral-rich rock.

3) Visit the Chrysolora winery in Platy Gialo Serifos.
You taste the local Serifos wines accompanied by Serifos tomatoes and local cheese, enjoying the magnificent view and the sunrise.

4) Visit to the monastery of Taxiarches.
The monastery of Taxiarches is a living part of the history of the island and the Cyclades in general, as it has survived pirate raids during the Venetian and Ottoman periods. From the outside, it looks like a castle, while inside there is a temple, courtyards, cells, the dining hall and cellars. The absolute highlight is on the eve of November 8th, the feast of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel, when a feast is set up and the monk cooks for all the guests, while the same evening he hosts them in the cells.
